Minutes of Meeting held on 2nd May, 2023.
- As this was the Annual General Meeting it began with the Election of Officers:-

- Cllr. Charmaine Smith then chaired the meeting with Cllrs. A. Vogel, P Chapman. S Smith I Franklyn County Cllr. Nicky Chopak and the Clerk Mrs. D.A. Turner attending.

Minutes
The minutes of the previous meeting had been Emailed to all Councillors and were agreed and signed as necessary.

Balance at Bank
It was reported that the balance at the Bank was £17,936.93 in the Current A/C and £2802.97 in the Solar A/C

Standing Orders
It was proposed that the Clerk ask Sarah Mason at CALC to look at the Standing Orders to see if they need amending.

Damaged Stile
Email received from Mrs. Mary Carter saying a Stile at Poulza was damaged and needs repair. As they now fit gates instead of stiles. Cllr. Chopak said to send her the photo of the damaged stile and she would deal with it.

Annual Audit Forms 1
The Audit form Section 1 Annual Governance Statement 2022/23 was completed on behalf of the Councillors and signed by the Chairperson and the Clerk/RFO.

Annual Audit Forms 2
Section 2 Accounting Statements 2022/2023 were completed by the Clerk/RFO and signed as necessary. The meeting approved the Accounts and these were signed by the Chairperson. The accounts will be checked by the Internal Auditor and then displayed on the Notice Board and on the Website.

The Certificate of Exemption – AGAR 2022/2023 Part 2 will be sent to the External Auditors.

A free Tree will be given to all Parishes. Clerk to apply for one.

Planning Application PA23/02668
Change of use of vehicle hardstanding, demolition of vehicle store and construction of two dwellings – Land adjacent to Tresan, Eden Road, Jacobstow - Councillors are objecting to the plans submitted. They are concerned that the properties are overlooking a working garaqe.
They are also very concerned about the access as it is so near a busy junction leading to the busy A39. There are always cars parked near the junction on the corner right by the garage entrance as the owners have walked around the corner to the Shop/Post Office. -

Land East of Cottage Farm, Jacobstow Cornwall Council have refused Planning permission on this.

Construction work in Jacobstow
Residents are concerned about construction work on land in Edgar Road, Jacobstow. This is for the Affordable houses to be built. This has already had Planning approval.
There being no further business the meeting closed at 8.50pm.
